La fede ci permette di vivere quest’ora in modo diverso rispetto a una mentalità mondana. La fede in Gesù Cristo, Dio incarnato, nato dalla Vergine Maria, dona un modo nuovo di sentire il tempo e la vita. Lo riassumerei in due parole: gratitudine e speranza. Qualcuno potrebbe dire: “Ma non è quello che fanno tutti in quest’ultima sera dell’anno? Tutti ringraziano, tutti sperano, credenti o non credenti”.
